Kids Rein is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that promotes the use of the horse for individuals with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities. We are proud to be a Center Member of PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, Int’l).
We offer a unique therapeutic horseback riding experience for individuals with varying disabilities. Kids Rein specializes in early intervention techniques and offers Therapeutic Riding for children as young as 3 years old. We also offer Therapeutic Horseback Riding for adults with disabilities!!
Through the many years of working with different teaching methodologies and techniques, Founders Teressa and Phyllis have discovered various ways of working with children with different disabilities. They are proud that Kids Rein is able to reach out and make a difference in the lives of children and adults with special needs – all on the back of a horse!
Kids Rein is located at the Latta Equestrian Center, 6201 Sample Road in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Fall riding for children with special needs will start back up on October 4th, with sessions at 10am and 11am. Additional sessions are currently scheduled for October 18th, November 1st, November 15th, and December 6th.
Kids Rein is excited to announce that we have been chosen as one of the charities for the 16th Annual Charlotte Oktoberfest. Be sure to mark your calendars for September 27, 2014. The event will be held at the NC Music Factory in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thank you so much to the Carolina Brewmasters of Charlotte for selecting us for this wonderful opportunity.
