Kids Rein is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that promotes the use of the horse for individuals with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities. We are proud to be a Center Member of PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, Int’l).
We offer a unique therapeutic horseback riding experience for individuals with varying disabilities. Kids Rein specializes in early intervention techniques and offers Therapeutic Riding for children as young as 3 years old. We also offer Therapeutic Horseback Riding for adults with disabilities!!
Through the many years of working with different teaching methodologies and techniques, Founders Teressa and Phyllis have discovered various ways of working with children with different disabilities. They are proud that Kids Rein is able to reach out and make a difference in the lives of children and adults with special needs – all on the back of a horse!
Kids Rein is located at the Latta Equestrian Center, 6201 Sample Road in Huntersville, North Carolina.
We are currently on Winter Break. Saturday therapeutic riding sessions are scheduled to start back up in the early Spring when the weather has warmed back up. However our horses always need TLC. Volunteers, please let us know if you are able to help us out with small projects and equine care during the winter months!!
Thank you so much to the Carolina Brewmasters for such a successful 16th Annual Charlotte Oktoberfest. It was an incredible event, and we are so humbled by the generous donation that they are making to Kids Rein. Thank you to all the volunteers that came out to help make the event possible, and naturally to all of the patrons!! We had a great time and we loved getting to meet so many new people!!
